What do you get when you mix rock-n-roll and sleek menswear? Royal Underground, of course.

Mötley Crüe Bassist/ Songwriter Nikki Sixx and Former St. John CEO Kelly Gray have created a new menswear collection that is destined to fill the gap for edgy, quality styles for men. Royal Underground's holiday line will debut in Bloomingdale's, Neiman-Marcus and Nordstrom stores everywhere this November.

Royal Underground is unique because it offers hardcore fashion elements in quality fabrics and cuts. Price tags for this high end line will range from $100 for t-shirts to $1,200 for jackets, with hand-cut embellished jeans and hidden details galore. The fall line includes butter soft cashmere sweaters, jakets lined in Mötley Crüe lyrics and coat of arms embellishments. The spring line is also on its way, and will include eastern elements inspired by Sixx and Gray's recent trip to India.

When I think of Juicy Couture, I usually cringe. Visions of sugarplum colored velour track suits and hideous satches dance through my head. Case in point:

So therefore, I am torn between trashing JC for their horrible bags and velour sweats, or giving them props for really graceful and timeless styles. I guess that I can do both.

One thing that I will say about Juicy Couture is that, unlike many other higher end brands, they cater to girls of the bustier, and larger, persuasion. That's right, that means that they offer sizes in XL and they are actually pretty true to an XL size. Fashion for all...I guess Juicy isn't that bad after all.

Diesel Lock Shades Limited Edition, Couture in the City Fashion Blog

'The Lock' sunglasses by Diesel were the shades of choice for supermodel Eva Herzigova and Canned Heat singer/songwriter/dancer Jamiroquai for both their latest projects. The 'Silver Lock' on Eva makes for an effortlessly chic look in her latest short film shot for the launch of her Spring/Summer 07 Beachwear line. I love the sharp black frames with silver trim, complete with the limited edition serial number engraved on the side piece end.
