Harper's Bazaar Fashion Special: Sesame Street Turns Into Fifth Avenue

As Harper's Bazaar celebrates the 40th year of the coolest street in the world, popularly known as the Sesame Street. Famous fashion designers and their models posed with our favorite furry friends for the September issue of the said magazine. Diane von Furstenburg, Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, Derek Lam, Thakoon Panichgul, Francisco Costa, Carolina Herrera, and Rodarte's Kate and Laura Mulleavy turned the Sesame Street into Fifth Avenue.

Gossip Girl Season 3 Updates and Spoilers!

I am not surprised when People.com reported that the upcoming season of Gossip Girl is full of glitz and glamor. For a start here's some of the stills from Gossip Girl season 3 that will be aired on September 14, 2009.

According to Stephanie Savage, GG's executive producer, the third season will start with a bang. During the first four episode, Gossip Girl will have a big Polo match, an auction at Sotherby's and a movie at Ziegfeld.

Blair will be going to school with Vanessa and Dan. Georgina will return in the new season and will be Blair's roommate. Meanwhile, Chuck will start his own business and Serena will be hooking up with designers Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman of Marchesa. Nate will found a new lady love while Dan will be paired with Hilary Duff's character. Jenny will have new struggles as the Queen Bee and her fashion career will also return in this new season.

Yay! I can't wait to see their fashion statements.

Twilight's Kristen Stewart As A Fashion Trendsetter

Twilight's Kristen Stewart also known as Bella Swan, shared her thoughts on being a fashion trendsetter in her interview with EW.com. Although she had sported dresses designed by famous fashion designers on social events, Kristen revealed that the Twilighters wanted to have the clothes from her own closet. She explained that items that are similar to her clothes like jackets and sweatshirts have been sold out because they are more cheaper compared to her designer's outfits. For her, it's bizarre to be a trendsetter.

Lotte Delima-Edwards' Japan in My Mind Collection

When I watched the local news 2 days ago, I was surprised to know that aside from Monique Lhuillier there is another Filipina who's making a big name in the international fashion industry.

Lotte Delima-Edwards, is also a Cebuana designer that is currently based in Singapore. Last July 25, she presented her “Japan in My Mind” collection at the Plantation Bay, Cebu. The collection was inspired by the geisha’s feminine sensuality and features flowing dresses and inricate beadwork consisting of mother of pearls and coconut beads. The designer revealed that all her pieces are made from Philippine materials.

A Tribute to Philippine's Yellow Fashion Icon (Pres. Cory Aquino)

Yesterday, Pres. Cory Aquino was laid to her final rest. She was an icon of democracy here in the Philippines. She was also the first female President of the Philippines as well as the first female President in the whole Asia.

During the 1980's, Cory Aquino was associated with the yellow color. This color was used to fight against the dictator of the country during that time. Yellow became a symbol of revolution for all Filipinos. At the time of her death, people used this color (again) to show their gratefulness for all the things that she have sacrificed for the country.
